Pickled Ginger Vinagrette

Ingredients
  • ½ Cup Chopped Pickled Ginger
  • ½ Cup Pickled Ginger Bringe
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1½ Cups Honey
  • 1 Cup red Miso (may also use blond miso - found at Asian markets)(We prefer miso from the Nagano region)
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Whisk until well incorporated.

 

Apple Cider Cinnamon Vinagrette

Apple Cider Cinnamon Vinagrette

  • 3 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cup Canola Oil ( or other favorite healthy oil)
Instructions
  1. Pour vinegar into a medium saucepan and add cinnamon stick. Simmer over low heat until liquid is reduced by ⅔ or to 1 cup.
  2. When reduced, remove grom heat and let cool completly. Remove cinnamon stick.
  3. When cool, pour reduced cinnamon vinegar into a medium bowl. Add the syrup and oil and whisk until well incorporated.

It can be used as a marinade or sauce for any kind of meat or as a dressing for any chopped vegetable salad - single or in combination, with our without greens. The amounts are guidelines - add or reduce to taste. Or play with additional spice or flavors to fit your style or preferences.

  • 1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Honey (try different flavors of honey)
  • 2 Cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Cup Chopped Fresh Herbs (Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, ect. - alone or in combination to your taste)
  • 1 Tsp. Hot Sauce

  • ½ Cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Maple Syrup

  • 1.2 Tsp. Fresh Ground Pepper
  • 1 Tsp. Salt (to taste)
